XINTIANDI
A
must-see on any tourist’s itinerary. This outdoor
section of “shikumen” (1920’s – 1930’s
Shanghai style houses) was completely rebuilt in 2000
-1 and has become a complex of shops, restaurants and
bars. It is all a bit too new looking, but the architecture
can inspire one’s imagination of Shanghai’s
glamorous past. Xintiandi is often packed with tourists
and is home to some of Shanghai’s best restaurants.
We like:
Ye Shanghai, Crystal Jade, Kabb, Va
Bene, Simply Thai and T8 or Visage for
dessert.
